Description:
An
introductory study of Paul’s Epistle to the Romans, with an emphasis on
understanding the letter’s original meaning and its modern day relevance to
American Evangelicals.
Course
Objectives:
At
the completion of the course the student should:
1.
Have a basic familiarity with the content & structure of the book of
Romans & be
able to identify the
six main sections of the epistle
- Be
able to concisely articulate Paul’s view of human depravity, the nature of
Christ’s
saving work on our
behalf, sanctification, & Israel’s
place in God’s eternal plan
3. Be able to identify area’s of his own personal,
church, & national life to which truths
from the book of Romans
apply with great relevance today
Course
Requirements:
1.
Reading of all assigned pages in advance of each week’s class
2. One or two
short quizzes to guage level of comprehension & motivate study
